This page explains what information I collect through kyleankney.com, why I collect it and what you can ask me to do with it. The short version: I use what you send me to reply to you and do good work. I don't sell it.
Who I am
This site belongs to Kyle Ankney, an independent PR strategist. When this policy says "I," "me" or "my," it means me. You can reach me about anything here at kyle@kyleankney.com.
What I collect
Information you give me
When you fill out the form on my contact page, I receive what you enter. That can include your name, email, company, role, website, the story you want told, the services you're interested in, your timeline, a budget range and how you heard about me. I also receive anything you send me by email.
Strategy call bookings
When you book a call, the scheduling happens through Squarespace Scheduling (Acuity Scheduling). It collects your name, email, the time you choose and your answers to a few short questions, under Squarespace's privacy policy. The booking is added to my calendar, and calls take place over Google Meet.
Information collected automatically
This site runs on Squarespace. Like most websites, it records basic visit data, such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, the site that referred you and your general location based on your IP address. Squarespace uses cookies to run the site and to count visits. You can read more in Squarespace's privacy policy.
How I use it

- To run and manage our engagement
- To understand how visitors use this site so I can improve it
I won't add you to a mailing list without your permission, and I don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who I share it with
I share information only with the services that help me run this site and my practice. Those include my website host, email provider, scheduling tool and video call provider. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiry details for as long as I need them to respond, work together and maintain normal business records. If you'd like me to delete what you've sent, email me and I will.
Your choices
You can ask me to show you, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you. Send your request to kyle@kyleankney.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended.

This site links to news coverage, client sites and other pages I don't control. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave kyleankney.com.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and professionals. I don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I'll change the date below. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
